Preparation of financial statements
In some circumstances a business may not require financial statements which contain an audit or review engagement report. You may simply require that the financial statements be compiled from information provided by management. The assembly of the information is checked for arithmetic accuracy but there would be no verification of accuracy or completeness of the information provided. Accordingly, no assurance is provided on the financial statements.
